How to apply Nail Wraps with Elegant Touch

Hi Party People!

Today I'm going to talk about Nail Wraps! When I found this concept of taking care of my nails, I just said: Amen! It's easy, fast, and with beautiful designs.

The brand that I've been using is Elegant Touch. I just love their ideas. And again it's a super easy application!

The Nail Wraps I will be applying today are exclusive of the USA and they are called Caviar. They are very sparkly and full of glamour.

The materials.

Os materiais.

Remove one wrap that is close to the size of your nail and put it on top of your nail with the round part down. You don't need glue.

Retira um wrap que seja do tamanho mais próximo da tua unha e coloca-o no topo da unha com a parte redonda para baixo. Nao precisas de cola.

  Join the excess part all together and smooth the surfice of  the nail.

Junta o excesso do wrap todo e alisa a superficie da unha.

File the excess wrap.
Lima o excesso do wrap.

Review Rose and Jojoba Moisturiser by Trevarno with Naturessima

Hi Party People,

Been doing lots of things at the same time. But still I wanted to do a review about a moisturiser the on-line store Naturessima (first store of all natural cosmetics in Portugal) sent for me to try. And I really want to give a big thank you to Alexandra, because although I live in London she is giving me the support I think any emigrant should get when they leave their country. It's good to receive support from a portuguese store, because after all I still write in portuguese and I am portuguese. =)

This store has all natural products because they believe Nature can take care of our beauty without us having to use any artificial chemical. They are 100% natural and I love them for this!

The Rose and Jojoba Moisturiser by Trevarno is for dry and/or mature skin. 

I've been using it has a night moisturiser because it doesn't has SPF and it's really very moisturizing. It leaves the skin in a very confortable state, and you can really feel it working on your skin.

The rose and jojoba will help your skin achive the glow effect that it loses with time. And after I started using this product in 3 different occasions, I has asked to show my ID. It's true! So it must be doing wonders, right?! =)

Estou a fazer várias coisas ao mesmo tempo. Mas mesmo assim quis vir aqui fazer uma review sobre o hidratante que a loja on-line Naturessima me enviou para testar. Tenho-o usado como hidratante para a noite porque não tem SPF e é mesmo muito hidratante. Deixa a pele num estado muito confortável, e conseguem mesmo sentí-lo a actuar na pele.

Highlight, Contouring and Final Result !

Hope you are having an amazing week!

Today's post is related to the way that I highlight and contour my face. And it makes sense because it's not a very hard and intense contouring so you can do it at home for a day look, has you will see from the pictures.

To highlight I used the ColorStay concealer by Revlon in the color 01. This is lighter than my skin tone and it's liquid. It's easier and more natural to do highlight and contour with liquids. I like to use cream concealer or cream foundation to do a more high fashion look for photoshoots.

The secret here is not to go overboard with the quantity and amount of places that you put the concealer, so think about all the areas you think are small in your face and that you want to stand out more. Also, highlight areas that you think are beautiful in your face and that you want to enhance more.

In the contouring side I used the concealer ColorStay by Revlon in the tone 06. Yes, yes, I know it's so dark. But for contouring it works. And I also wanted to give a little bit of a bronze color to my face, since I'm very very pale.

O post de hoje é relacionado com a maneira como ilumino e contorno o meu rosto. E faz sentido porque não é um contorno muito duro e intenso por isso podes fazer em casa para um look de dia, como vais ver pelas fotos.

Para iluminar usei o corretor ColorStay da Revlon na cor 01. Este é mais claro que o meu tom de pele, e é líquido. É mais fácil e mais natural iluminar e contornar com líquidos. Gosto de usar correctores ou bases para fazer um look mais fashion para sessões fotográficas.

O segredo aqui é não exagerar com a quantidade e locais onde aplicar o corrector, por isso pensa em todas as áreas que achas que são pequenas na tua face e que queres evidenciar mais. Também, ilumina areas que achas que são lindas na tua face e que ainda queres destacar mais.

No contorno usei o corrector ColorStay da Revlon no tom 06. Sim, sim, sei que é muito escuro. Mas para contorno funciona. E também quis dar um aspecto um pouco mais bronzeado á minha pele, porque sou muito mas muito pálida.

Contour

Now just use a duo fiber brush to blend everything. You should put in the brush a little bit of your natural color of foundation, just to make the look more smoother. Do circular motions until everything blends into your skin. And it's done! Just put the makeup on top that you want and you will feel beautiful but not too made up.

Agora usa um pincel duo fiber para misturar tudo. Deves colocar no pincel um pouco de base da tua cor de pele para tornar o look mais soft. Faz movimentos circulares até que tudo se misture bem na tua pele. E está feito! Coloca a maquilhagem que queres por cima e vais-te sentir linda mas não muito "made up".

In my Opinion... Best and Worst Makeup Oscars 2013

Oscar, Oscar and Oscar!

That's the talk of the day and on this blog is not going to be different!

Although, the dresses are the big thing of the look of the stars for most people, for me it's the makeup. Strange, isn't that right?! =)

So I'm going to talk about some of the makeup looks that I think were the best and also the worst!

But, may I say, the two words of order were Simplicity and Class! Nothing very over the top. And I can understand that! The world is watching, so taking risks is not the first thing on the stars mind.

So here we go...

É a conversa do dia, e neste blog não vai ser diferente!

Apesar dos vestidos serem sempre o mais esperado do look das estrelas para a maioria das pessoas, para mim é a maquilhagem.

Estranho, não é verdade?! =)

Por isso vou falar sobre alguns looks de maquilhagem que penso serem os melhores e os piores!

Mas, deixem-me dizer, as duas palavras de ordem são Simplicidade e Classe! Nada muito extravagante. E posso compreender isso! O mundo está a ver, por isso correr riscos não é a primeira coisa que passa na cabeça das estrelas.

Por isso aqui vamos nós... 

Jessica Chastain

I love this look! The skin looks beautiful, mate but with the right freshness. The eyes, classic with an highlight in the inner corner of the eye, a simple eyeliner and full lashes. The lips, intense red, very vintage.

The only thing I would do more to this look would be intensify the brows. For camera they look too washed out. 

Adorei este look! A pele está linda, mate mas fresca. Os olhos, clássicos com um ponto de luz no canto interno do olho, um eyeliner simples e pestanas fartas. Os lábios, com vermelho intenso, muito vintage.

A única coisa que faria mais neste look seria intensificar as sobrancelhas. Para a camara aparecem muito apagadas.

Catherine Zeta Jones

Perfection! That's what I have to say about this look! Catherine is a Lady, and knows how to pull nudes. Her dress and earrings are very expressive, so she kept the makeup simple. Mate face with highlights on the nose and cupids bow. The eyes are all about the lashes. And they are amazing! Pink cheeks to give youth to the face and nude pink lips with highlights. Perfect for her gold extravaganza.

Perfeição! É o que tenho a dizer sobre este look! A Catherine é uma Senhora, e sabe como usar nudes. O seu vestido e brincos são muito expressivos, por isso ela manteve a makeup simples. Face mate com pontos de luz no nariz e arco de cupido. Os olhos são todos pestanas. E são fantásticas! Maças do rosto rosa para dar juventude à face e lábios rosa nude. Perfeito para a sua extravagancia dourada.

Jennifer Lawrence

The big winner opted for a classic smokey eye, with intense black and eyeliner. The skin looks a litle bit red on the chin area, forehead and nose and that's the only thing I don't like about this makeup. Cheeks with a coraly rose blush and simple lips with rose tone and highlights.

A grande vencedora optou por um smokey eye clássico, com preto intenso e eyeliner. A pele parece um pouco vermelha na zona do queixo, testa e no nariz e essa é a única coisa que não gosto nesta maquilhagem.

Adele

Adele was one of the winners of the night, and what a beautiful winner! With an amazing eyeliner with a flick and full eyelashes, she was stunning. The face with her typical contouring and pink cheeks. The lips nude and simples. The skin, flawless! You go girl!

Adele foi uma das vencedoras da noite, e que vencedora linda! Com um eyeliner maravilhoso com flick e pestanas fartas, estava maravilhosa. A face com o seu contorno típico e maças do rosto rosa. Os lábios nude e simples. A pele, perfeita! You go girl! 

Helena Bonham Carter

Oh Helena! I don't know if she knows what she is doing or if she doesn't have a clue. The skin and pink cheeks are ok, but the eyes are looking to made up and badly made up. With boring colors and excess shimmer. The lips with that bottom contouring don't help her at all! The worst look for me...

Oh Helena! Não sei se ela sabe o que está a fazer ou se não faz mesmo ideia. A pele e as maças do rosto rosa estão bem, mas os olhos estão demasiado maquilhados e mal maquilhados. Com cores aborrecidas e excesso de brilho. Os lábios com aquele contorno na parte de baixo não a ajudam nada! O pior look para mim...

Today was a lovely day! I went to The Vintage Kilo Sale in Hackney London, with Inês Terra and her lovely boyfriend Ivo, and of course my lovely João Camilo.

Today I'm going to just present a product, that I had in contact here in London. I went to Boots and they offered me a collagen supplement called Pure Gold Collagen.

The brand says that is a unique blend that has collagen and active ingredients. It promotes younger looking skin, improves skin hydration and reduces the appearance of deep wrinkles.

You should take a botle of day, that has 50ml of product, during 4 weeks and for better results 8 weeks or more.

I never tried this kind of product. What do you think?! Does it work?!

A marca diz que é uma mistura única que tem colagénio e ingredientes ativos. Promove uma pele com um aspecto mais jovem, melhora a hidratação da pele e reduz a aparência das rugas profundas.

Devem tomar uma garrafa por dia, que tem 50ml de produto, durante 4 semanas ou para melhores resultados 8 semanas ou mais.

Nunca experimentei este tipo de produto. O que acham?! Resulta?!

It's Inspiration Time in London with Instapics!

So Party People, today my boyfriend went to a job interview in a Café inside the Victoria and Albert Museum in London! And I just had to go with him! The admission is free and also the inspiration.

My main device of inspiration for sure is the web! But sometimes it's good to "get out of the box", and simply enjoy what a museum has to offer! And this museum offers big time!

Bem Party People, hoje o meu namorado foi a uma entrevista de emprego num Café dentro do Museu Victoria and Albert em Londres! E claro que tinha de ir com ele! A entrada é gratuita e também a inspiração.

O meu maior meio de inspiração é a internet! Mas ás vezes é bom "sair da caixa", e simplesmente apreciar o que um Museu tem para oferecer! E este museu oferece e muito!

It's Mask Time! Review...

Today is Sunday! So what have you been doing? I stayed at home, looking for more companies to send CV's! And I quit enjoy doing this... It gives me more and more joy for the future!

In this post I want to talk about a Christmas present I got. A facial mask.

It's a cucumber and dead sea minerals clay mask by Superdrug Store. It is supposed to cool your skin and refresh it. 

You should apply it after cleaning your skin, (I also exfoliated mine), with your fingers, avoiding the lip and eye area. And let it set for 10 to 15min. After that, just wash your skin with warm water.

The first thing I have to say is that, this mask is quite affordable. I don´t know the price, but the person that gave it to me said it was a bargain.

Despite the instructions say that this is a mask for sensitive skin, I felt in the first minutes of the application that, my face started to get too hot. But after a while, this sensation passed. And the cooling sensation started to appear. After 15min I cleaned my skin. And took the "after" picture.

I have to say I didn´t like this mask. My skin didn´t look fresher at all. And I had the feeling, even after applying moisturizer, that my face lost the hidration that was supposed to have.

Maybe, it will be a good mask for oily skin, but not for mixed, dry or even sensitive skin.

I won´t buy it for sure!

Hoje é Domingo! O que têm feito? Fiquei em casa, a procurar mais empresas para mandar CV! E até gosto disso... Dá-me mais e mais alegria para o futuro!

Neste post quero falar sobre uma prenda de Natal que recebi. Umas mascara facial.

É uma mascara de argila de pepino e minerais do Mar Morto. É suposto dar uma sensação fria e refrescante à pele.

Devem aplicá-la depois de limparem a face, (também fiz esfoliação), com os dedos, evitando lábios e olhos. E deixar actuar durante 10 a 15min. Depois disso, apenas limpem a cara com água tépida. 

A primeira coisa que tenho a dizer é que esta mascara é bastante acessível. Não sei o preço, mas a pessoa que me deu disse que era uma pechincha.

Apesar das instruções dizerem que esta mascara é para pele sensível, senti nos primeiros minutos da aplicação que a minha face começou a ficar muito quente. Mas depois de algum tempo, essa sensação passou. E a sensação fresca apareceu. Depois de 15min limpei a minha pele. E tirei a foto do "depois".

Tenho a dizer que não gostei desta mascara. A minha pele não parecia fresca de todo. E tive a sensação, mesmo depois de aplicar o hidratante que a minha face perdeu a hidratação que costuma ter.

Talvez seja uma boa mascara para pele oleosa, mas não para mista, seca ou até sensível.

Não vou comprá-la de certeza!
