Contour/ Highlight: Products you should have!

Hi Party People,

Today I'm going to show you two products that you can use to contour/ highlight your face.

For those who are not aware of what I'm talking about, the contour part of the product, applied in certain areas will create the illusion that that area is smaller. 

The highlight part of the product, will enhance areas that you want people to notice when you do your makeup. For ex: cheek bones, the bridge of your nose, the cupids bow on your lips,...

This kind of technique could make or break your makeup. So use these products wisely.

Hoje, vou mostrar dois produtos que podem usar para contornar/iluminar a vossa face.

Para aqueles que não sabem do que estou a falar, a parte de contorno do produto, aplicada em certas areas vai criar uma ilusão de que essa mesma area é menor.

A parte de iluminação do produto, vai realçar areas que queremos que outros notem quando fazemos a maquilhagem. Por ex: maças do rosto, cana do nariz, o arco de cupido nos lábios,...

Este tipo de técnica pode ser maravilhosa ou horrível para a vossa maquilhagem. Por isso usem estes produtos conscientemente.

For those that have oily skin, use powder to contour/ highlight. It will last longer in your skin, and it will help you set your makeup. Use the brown part to contour and the middle part to highlight.

Para os que têm pele oleosa, usem pó para contornar/ iluminar. Vai durar mais tempo na vossa pele, e vai ajudar a selar a maquilhagem. Usem a parte castanha para o contorno e a parte do meio do produto para iluminar.

Highlight, Contouring and Final Result !

Hope you are having an amazing week!

Today's post is related to the way that I highlight and contour my face. And it makes sense because it's not a very hard and intense contouring so you can do it at home for a day look, has you will see from the pictures.

To highlight I used the ColorStay concealer by Revlon in the color 01. This is lighter than my skin tone and it's liquid. It's easier and more natural to do highlight and contour with liquids. I like to use cream concealer or cream foundation to do a more high fashion look for photoshoots.

The secret here is not to go overboard with the quantity and amount of places that you put the concealer, so think about all the areas you think are small in your face and that you want to stand out more. Also, highlight areas that you think are beautiful in your face and that you want to enhance more.

In the contouring side I used the concealer ColorStay by Revlon in the tone 06. Yes, yes, I know it's so dark. But for contouring it works. And I also wanted to give a little bit of a bronze color to my face, since I'm very very pale.

O post de hoje é relacionado com a maneira como ilumino e contorno o meu rosto. E faz sentido porque não é um contorno muito duro e intenso por isso podes fazer em casa para um look de dia, como vais ver pelas fotos.

Para iluminar usei o corretor ColorStay da Revlon na cor 01. Este é mais claro que o meu tom de pele, e é líquido. É mais fácil e mais natural iluminar e contornar com líquidos. Gosto de usar correctores ou bases para fazer um look mais fashion para sessões fotográficas.

O segredo aqui é não exagerar com a quantidade e locais onde aplicar o corrector, por isso pensa em todas as áreas que achas que são pequenas na tua face e que queres evidenciar mais. Também, ilumina areas que achas que são lindas na tua face e que ainda queres destacar mais.

No contorno usei o corrector ColorStay da Revlon no tom 06. Sim, sim, sei que é muito escuro. Mas para contorno funciona. E também quis dar um aspecto um pouco mais bronzeado á minha pele, porque sou muito mas muito pálida.

Now just use a duo fiber brush to blend everything. You should put in the brush a little bit of your natural color of foundation, just to make the look more smoother. Do circular motions until everything blends into your skin. And it's done! Just put the makeup on top that you want and you will feel beautiful but not too made up.

Agora usa um pincel duo fiber para misturar tudo. Deves colocar no pincel um pouco de base da tua cor de pele para tornar o look mais soft. Faz movimentos circulares até que tudo se misture bem na tua pele. E está feito! Coloca a maquilhagem que queres por cima e vais-te sentir linda mas não muito "made up".
